Uni Pharma Algofren shurup 150ml
Algofren is a strawberry-flavored syrup for use in children aged 3 months and older. It relieves pain and reduces fever. Algofren is indicated for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis or Still’s disease), ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis and other non-rheumatoid (seronegative) arthropathies. In the treatment of non-articular rheumatic conditions, Algofren is indicated in periarticular conditions such as frozen shoulder (capsulitis), bursitis, tendonitis, tenosynovitis and low back pain. Algofren can also be used in soft tissue injuries such as sprains and strains. Algofren is also indicated for its analgesic effect in the relief of mild to moderate pain such as dysmenorrhoea, dental and post-operative pain and for the symptomatic relief of headache including migraine pain. Algofren is indicated in adults and paediatric patients six months and older for: management of mild to moderate pain and management of moderate to severe pain as an adjunct to opioid analgesics. Temporarily relieves minor aches and pains due to:
- headache
- common cold
- toothache
- muscle pain
- back pain
- temporarily reduces fever
Usage
Always read the package leaflet or consult your doctor before use. 5 ml contains 100 mg of Ibuprofen.
Dosage: Children and infants (over 3 months and weighing over 5 kg): For the treatment of arthritis, it is recommended to take 30-40 mg/kg/day divided into 3 or 4 doses. The maximum daily dose is 2.4 g in 3-4 divided doses. For the treatment of pain and fever reduction: It is recommended to take 20 mg/kg/day in 3-4 divided doses. The maximum daily dose is 30 mg/kg/day. Adults and children over 12 years of age; For the treatment of pain and fever reduction: It is recommended to take 300-400 mg, 3-4 times a day. If the high temperature does not disappear, the dose should be increased to 400 mg without reaching 1.2 g per day.
Warnings
DO NOT take/give Algofren syrup if: You or your child have had or have peptic ulcers and other gastrointestinal diseases. You or your child have gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation due to previous treatment with NSAIDs. You or your child are hypersensitive to aspirin or other NSAIDs. You or your child have had or have ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease. You or your child are allergic to ibuprofen or other ingredients of the syrup. You are pregnant or breastfeeding. You or your child are being treated with other painkillers. You or your child have hematological problems. Your child is under 3 months old or weighs less than 6 kg. You or your child have serious heart problems.
Caution
